Organic Blate (Large)
The Organic Blate is a hand-formed stoneware form that sits between a bowl and a plate. Defined by its open profile and gently curved edge, the shape feels generous and balanced, offering depth without the weight of a full bowl.
Built using layered colored clay, each blate carries quiet movement and variation across the surface, shaped by hand rather than constrained to uniformity.
The upper surface is finished with a clear glaze to enhance depth and color, while the underside is left unglazed and sanded to 800 grit, creating a smooth, natural feel where the blate meets the table and the hand.
Each Organic Blate is one of a kind. Variations in pattern, line, and color are inherent to the process and are embraced as part of the work.
